Chapter 2: Orkney

Here’s the blogpost. This month produced a very different set of pictures and experiences from Shetland. There was less sealife, although Orcadian seals were the friendliest I’ve ever encountered; but the seas themselves were more lively, since Orcadian waters can be among the most challenging in the British Isles; and there are lots of archaeological puzzles to decipher. Where last month there were pictures from pretty much every stretch of coast, more rain and fog this month meant that a few sections (especially towards the end) are less well represented. The pictures run north to south from Westray & Papa Westray to Hoy.
