Chapter 2: Orkney (August)

A very different set of pictures this month. There’s less sealife, although Orcadian seals were the friendliest I’ve ever encountered; there’s more lively sea since Orcadian waters can be among the most unfriendly; and there are lots of archaeological puzzles to decipher. Where last month there were pictures from pretty much every stretch of coast, more rain and fog this month meant that a few sections (especially towards the end) are less well represented. The pictures run north to south from Westray & Papa Westray to Hoy.
